Our story began in the early 90s, specializing in crafting high-quality wood products. As our reputation grew and our clientele expanded nationwide, we identified a significant gap in effective acoustic solutions across various sectors in Sri Lanka, including studios, cinemas, and factories.
To bridge this gap, we established WoodyWave Acoustics, initially focusing on producing top-notch acoustic panels and pioneering soundproofing solutions. Evolving from product manufacturing, we embraced custom acoustic designs tailored to our client’s needs. Our success in realizing this vision owes much to our adept team equipped with state-of-the-art tools and technology.
Our clientele swiftly expanded from small home studios to larger ventures such as architectural acoustics and audio-visual installations for auditoriums and cinemas. Presently, our company operates in two key capacities. We manufacture and retail various acoustic essentials like panels, bass traps, and diffusers. Furthermore, we offer specialized consultancy services in acoustics, collaborating with clients to design and construct personalized acoustic spaces for various applications.

The founder of Woody Wave Acoustic (Pvt) Ltd, combines a rich heritage in woodworking with his passion for music. Growing up in his family’s wood-based business, Shiran honed his skills and began crafting unique musical instruments, gaining recognition on major TV programs and within his popular music group.
Driven by a vision to transform Sri Lanka’s acoustic industry, he established Woody Wave Acoustic to introduce world-class solutions for studios, cinemas, and auditoriums. Through innovative designs and cutting-edge soundproofing, Shiran continues to redefine the industry, delivering excellence tailored to client needs.
A highly experienced and passionate audio engineer and acoustics expert, Jayasanka plays a vital role in all WoodyWave projects. His journey began with a love for diverse musical instruments that soon transitioned into technical aspects, delving into live sound engineering and pursuing formal education in audio. Jayasanka’s dedication led to the establishment of PearlbayMusic, a renowned recording studio known for exceptional acoustics. His expertise extends to larger acoustics projects, showcasing his unwavering commitment to sound engineering and music.
